Pedro Schilling de Carvalho:

LLB from University of São Paulo, with an exchange period at the London School of Economics and Political Science, having been supervised by Professor Fábio Konder Comparato. Currently, Pedro is also LLM Candidate in Commercial Law at University of Cambridge and PhD Candidate in Commercial Law at the University of São Paulo. He has considerable experience with arbitration, having practiced in a GAR-100 ranked firm, where he had experience representing clients in domestic and international arbitrations, including judicial issues in connection with arbitral proceedings, under the ICC, LCIA, AAA and CAM-CCBC rules. He also served as chief of staff at the 1st Commercial Law Chamber from the São Paulo State Supreme Court, where he drafted awards, legal opinions and determinations in disputes regarding the annulment and enforcement of arbitral awards, as well as interim or preventive measures in support of arbitration or arising from agreements with pathological arbitration clauses. Pedro has published articles on arbitration, commercial law and corporate insolvency.

 

Leonardo Peixoto Barbosa:

LLM Candidate at the University of Cambridge and Master Candidate in Economic Law at University of São Paulo, Leonardo obtained his LLB with highest honors and the Distinction for Excellence Prize from the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto. He also attended specialization courses in Antitrust Law at IBRAC and USP and in Consumer Law at São Paulo School of Judges. Leonardo has considerable experience with antitrust law, having practiced in a Chambers & Partners top-ranked law firm for several years, where he dealt with complex mergers and antitrust investigations mostly involving multinational corporations from a great range of industries: from beverages in general to digital markets, construction, steel, freight forwarding, transport, paper, consumer goods, among others. In addition, Leonardo is an experienced lawyer in matters involving complex antitrust litigation and consumer law, advising multinational consumer goods clients on publicity law, label law, food law, and unfair competition. Leonardo is the author of articles on Antitrust and Law & Economics and member of the Cambridge International Law Journal editorial board.
